Job Description:
R&D Technician for Sustainable Technologies is responsible for performing laboratory work of a biological, chemical and mechanical nature as required. R&D Technician shall work in conjunction with R&D Project Leads to develop the necessary laboratory testing required for product development. R&D Technician is responsible for performing the cleaning processes for clinically used medical devices which include decontamination, cleaning, disinfection and drying. R&D Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area and for ordering supplies.
R&D Technician will have a scientific skill set with capabilities to include material analysis, bioburden analysis, cleaning and disinfecting agent selection, biocompatibility, etc. The R&D Technician position will require exceptional teamwork and organizational skills. The position will demand proactive communication with the R&D team to assure all project milestones are met.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS preferred in scientific discipline such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology or microbiology
Experience: 2+ years of relevant scientific experience (e.g., labs, internships, etc.)
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Basic Skills, Knowledge on ISO17025 and AAMI biological standards
