This is a long-term position that will allow you to enhance your career while gaining valuable Merchandising experience.
As a Store Lead at Serv-U-Success you will lead major service, reset & remodel, and general service projects. You will work with the Store Manager to find and develop the best people to represent Serv-U, provide them the tools and training needed for them to be successful, coach and mentor them to be part of a high-performance team, and ensure they have a rewarding Serv-U experience. Primary responsibilities include:
• Primary duty is to provide leadership to ensure the successful execution of service & reset projects.
• Function as the “Manager on Duty” in the absence of, or in collaboration with the Store Manager, assuring proper staffing and prioritization of work needing completion.
• Build and maintain positive and professional working relationships with store management, employees, and customers, demonstrating a positive “get it done right” approach.
• Help train new Reps/cross train Reps in the “Serv-U Way,” operating best practices, technology and skills relative to their assignment.
• Work professionally with team members, our Customer’s guests, and other vendors.
• Review each project, understanding expectations and personal role in executing efficiently.
• Understand projects and timing and work with the Store Manager to schedule each week’s work to ensure accurate schedule completion, best-utilizing resources available.
• Physically monitor project results and verify that projects are completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Take ownership of “opportunities” to improve processes. Share these opportunities with Serv-U management and peers.
• Utilize the Serv-U scheduling system to accurately schedule resources and share resources across functions as needed.
• Demonstrate a high level of merchandising and reset skills, across all categories, within the four walls of the store.
• Enter time and attendance on a daily basis using the ADP app or directly into ADP using the computer or iPad.
• Applications use include:
• Outlook –store email
• Movista ONE App – use for project reporting
• ADP – time reporting and payroll functions
• SubItUp App – use to view work schedules and to pick up/swapping shifts
• Visual Work Instructions (VWI) Shortcut – Work instructions, procedures, and guides
• Store Visit Lite App – bar code scanning to view customer’s product-specific information
• Yammer – social communication platform
• Skype for Business/Microsoft Teams – use for business meetings
• Power BI App – viewing store metric reports
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associates Degree in a related field or comparable education/work experience required.
• At least 3 – 8 years in a service industry, with some supervisory or leadership experience.
• Results-oriented. Organized & methodical. Enjoy learning and change.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to build and lead teams in a positive work environment.
• Must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance, preferably primary coverage, and no major violations or DUIs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, write legibly, follow directions.
• Utilize technology – primarily personal devices (smartphones, tablets, PCs), MV, SubItUp, ADP.
• Prioritize requests and activities while managing frequent interruptions and attending to details to complete tasks within deadlines.
• Working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology helpful.
As we support a 364 day a year business and are busiest on weekends and holidays, flexibility and desire to work irregular/weekend hours is strongly desired.
The starting pay rate for this Store Lead job is $14.00 /hr, plus overtime as needed.
This is a third shift or overnight position that requires availability to work Sunday thru Thursday nights!
