Full Job Description We seek an 1099 Independent Adjuster (IA) to handle additional All Lines claim assignments in and around the Owensboro, KY and into Indiana area. This is NOT an employment position, but future growth could change that.
The IA should be self-motivated and home based to service assignments within IN and KY (up to 400 miles RT).
Insurance adjuster license, driver's license, dependable transportation, high speed internet, drug test, and background check required. The insurance companies we service set these standards.
The qualified IA will have 3-5 years work experience in property and liability claims with a focus on third-party claims work. Prior experience with an insurance company or TPA remains a huge benefit.
IA experience necessary to receive assignments involves settling liability claims (auto/general/commercial/trucker/bodily injury); writing estimates (vehicle, property, and heavy equipment); and yes, truck wrecks (which can occur at night). Truck wrecks remain part of the claims assignment load and remain a FAVORITE of all our IAs due to the great pay (think invoices bigger than property)!
