Main Duties & Responsibilities
Operates transport as certified and licensed driver while upholding Ring Power's image as a safe and courteous company.
Inspects truck and trailer before dispatch.  Ensures that all equipment meets operating and safety requirements.
Loads, hauls and unloads machines at customer’s job site or at Ring Power facilities.
Keeps up the appearance of equipment and notifies the dispatcher of any problems.
Maintains current knowledge of all state and federal laws.
Maintains compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
Maintains an accurate log book.
Ensures that the proper documents are available for haul.
Checks for customer abuse of equipment.
Notes damages to equipment and inform the dispatcher.
Maintains a good relationship with the customer.
Qualifications
A minimum of (5) years experience Transporting Heavy Equipment is required.
Must possess a valid Class A Drivers License.
Knowledge of Heavy Equipment such as cranes, dozers, graders and aerial equipment etc.
Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Post High School education including a specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Transport Driver preferred.
Physical Demands of the Position:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
