Job Description: At Regions, the Institutional Trust Relationship Consultant retains and develops relationships and associated revenue for a group of accounts, which may include Retirement Plan, Investment Management Agency, Endowments/Foundations, Custody, and/or Funeral Cemetery Trust accounts. This position plays a key role in assisting Regions with meeting client needs, providing deeper client relationships across multiple business groups, and growing Non-Interest Revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
• Oversees and provides exceptional service for client relationships, including following issues through to resolution, meeting deadlines, and anticipating strategic client needs including future opportunities and risks
• Administers and oversees the most complex transactions and client relationships, demonstrating a thorough understanding of client objectives, and identifies and provides alternatives to appropriate stakeholders
• Demonstrates solid knowledge and understanding of Regions’ products and services, including retirement, investment management, endowment & foundations, funeral trust, and corporate trust in addition to demonstrating a general understanding of Corporate Banking and Wealth businesses
• Determines the financial viability and associated risks of client business
• Demonstrates knowledge of effective sales techniques through understanding client financial goals and objectives and proactively providing Regions based solutions and expertise
• Partners with leadership and strategists to expand existing relationships
• Develops internal and external relationships with existing and new centers-of- influence (COIs)
• Leads client pre-call planning meetings and participates in sales presentations
• Performs duties in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures and all applicable external regulations
• May lead projects and/or supervise junior level staff
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
• High school diploma with seven (7) years of Trust experience or Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of Trust or related experience
Preferences
• Background in Institutional Trust Administration and Investments
• Experience in the investment, ERISA, and custody industry
Skills and Competencies
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the trust industry
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
• Skilled in applicable computer software, e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail
• Strong sales ability
• Ability to communicate to a diverse group on complicated issues and topics
