I-Care Optical is interviewing for an EXPERIENCED Optical Associate Position. The ideal candidate will be professional and able to work in a fast paced environment. This position is responsible for providing customer service support, as well as optical sales, dispensing and assisting with other optical duties in the optical department. Must have experience with taking accurate measurements for all types of lens orders and making correct adjustments to frames. Must have knowledge of different lens types and materials. Interpret insurance benefits. A pleasant personality and good communication skill is a requirement for working with our patients. The hours for this position are 26-30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that the practice’s optical quality standards are met
• Manage all aspects of eyewear orders, frame/lens choices, and dispensing
• Adjustment and minor eyeglass repair
• Oversight of the merchandising of frames, spectacle lenses, and eyewear accessories
• Customer service, manage electronic records, answer phones, make appointments,
Optical Sale Associate Skills & Qualifications
• Proven customer service skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance patient relationships
• Strong sales ability
• Have an eye for fashion
• High level of initiative and works well in a team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer literate
• Prior experience in the Optical industry
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!
You must have at least 1 year of optical experience in a retail or private practice.
This position is Monday through Friday from 9-5
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
