Muchachas LLC is a new business located at Armature Works in Tampa, FL. We are currently hiring line cooks to work the grill / fry /prep/ dish/ front counter station. The ideal candidate should have open availability/ night and weekend availability/ daytime availability/ availability during upcoming holiday season/ summer season and be well equipped to perform the following tasks:
• Assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. Line cooks perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes
• Able to follow recipes and prepare Mexican dishes accordingly
• Fill food orders; assist with food prep and cooking to fill customer orders. Serve food to customers. Ensure proper expo and presentation of menu items
• Use the correct portions when cutting and serving
• Execute safe knife handling skills and safe use of all kitchen equipment
• Operate and clean stations including steam tables, mixers, gas burners, flat-top grill, hood vents, fryers, reach-in refrigerators, reach in freezers etc.
• Pro-actively use non-peak service time to prepare for peak service times and rushes
• Stock work and customer areas with needed supplies and notify management when inventory levels begin to run low
• Clean work stations thoroughly before, during and after each shift. Follow all restaurant security and safety procedures
• Complete assigned daily/ weekly/ monthly cleaning tasks
• Arrive on time for all shifts and stay until shift completion
Job Requirements
Line Cook must meet the following requirements:
• A team player with good communication skills
• Must be reliable and report to work on time and in proper uniform
• Must be accustomed to working in a fast paced environment with heavy demands, especially during meal rushes
• Must be able to multitask and work efficiently in fast paced environment
• Prep and prepare food quickly and consistently according to company standards for presentation, cooking times and assembly
• Strictly adhere to current sanitation and food safety regulations at all times
• Strictly adhere to company's policies and procedures at all times
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• Must be able to life objects greater than 75 pounds
• Hepatitis A vaccination, reliable transportation, and a bank account are all contingencies of employment
• Background in Mexican cuisine preferred
