Engineering opportunity in Tampa, Florida - open to any discipline of engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc) - No experience necessary.
Aerotek is seeking Distribution Engineers to join their clients team in Florida. These Distribution Engineers will support power distribution infrastructure upgrades and storm hardening projects across Florida.
This work consists of retrofitting transformers, replacing deteriorating cable, moving overhead lines to underground, reconductors of existing distribution lines, and replacing aging poles.
Project work will include the following:
* Perform engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.
* Preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a Bill Of Materials, estimating costs, etc.
* 90% of the day will be design development and coordination / 10% will be in the field
