Regional Market Team Leader
Responsible for directing all activities of assigned Districts with an emphasis on maximizing sales and profitability. Oversees and ensures the consistent execution of company initiatives and compliance with company standards within assigned market. Provides assistance in regional and company initiatives.
1. Provides direction to District and Store leadership in assigned market. Acts as resource regarding operational issues and process improvements.
2. Ensures processes are managed to meet financial goals and coordinates annual budget process for sales and controllable expense centers for assigned districts.
3. Responsible for profit and loss for the assigned districts.
4. Partners with regional and corporate teams on strategic initiatives. Identifies operational best practices and opportunities.
5. Assists district leadership with the development of sales and customer service strategies to maximize local market potential, including driving loyalty program participation and addressing customer feedback.
6. Responsible for the talent development within assigned market. Works with district leadership to ensure all stores are properly staffed.
7. Ensures communication and reinforcement of shrink disciplines in conjunction with Asset Protection teams in order to achieve shrinkage goals.
8. Collaborates with corporate partners to ensure necessary resources are provided to the districts and stores within the market.
9. Makes recommendations and suggestions on process improvements that can be leveraged across the chain; provides test results and data from Market as needed.
10. Ensures district leadership direction, store walk behaviors, execution and follow up are aligned with company expectations.
11. Manages direct reports including staffing, training, development, performance assessment, disciplinary actions and succession planning.
1. Minimum of seven years retail management experience including previous multi-unit or large, high volume retailer experience required.
2. Ability to relocate is preferred.
3. Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
4. Understanding of profit and loss, budgeting, operations, payroll and merchandising required.
5. Strong decision-making and problem resolution skills required.
6. Ability to travel by car or air on a regular basis and for extended periods of time, including regular and continuous overnight travel required. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate travel as required.
