Job Description
Electrical Superintendent - Electrical Construction (Commercial & Industrial)
A growing electrical contractor is looking to add an Electrical Superintendent to their team. The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. They offer competitive salary (DOE), bonus opportunity, and benefits package.
Overview
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for organizing, supervising, and directing electrical work of the assigned job crew.The Superintendent will organize and control the preparation and execution of project(s), not complex in nature, to ensure company objectives of cost, quality, and equipment conservation are met. Monitor and document the progress of the assigned job up to and including the quality and quantity of work performed by members of the job crew. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. The Superintendent will have profit and loss responsibilities, as well as responsibilities for job safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
• Utilizes quantitative reporting/weekly labor variance reports and measures performance weekly
• Meets budgets regularly and maximize profits
• Takes necessary actions to maintain targets
• Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope
• Review all electrical drawings with direct personnel performing on assigned jobs to them
• Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety and accident reports
• Monitors discipline construction productivity, progress, and cost, and reports to Supervisor
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed
• Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to
• Ensure all company safety measures and regulations are followed and enforces use of safety equipment when required
• Provide work force with current and accurate information as generated by superintendent including RFIs memorandums, and any other forms of communication devices
Qualifications
• Skilled electrician with at least (5) years of experience managing crews and multi-million dollar construction projects.
• Expert knowledge of NECA
• Excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and a stellar safety background
• Must have experience in labor and material costs
• High School degree of equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Office)
