Full Job Description Maintenance superintendent and groundkeeper to keep the property clean, safe, and groomed in a manner that enhances the natural beauty and aesthetics. Self-starter who will keep things in excellent working order and proactively maintain the property. Knowledge of the Florida landscape, some design experience, and strong general maintenance skills are prerequisites. A hospitable and positive demeanor will fit within our culture. Though there are regular hours, additional hours will be needed based upon retreat schedules and any emergencies.
Essential functions include:
• Power washing
• Painting
• Monitoring and replacing all light bulbs inside and out, as needed
• Performing basic electrical and plumbing work and determines when a plumber or electrician is needed
• Dock maintenance
• Soliciting bids and quotes and acting as project coordinator for any improvement or maintenance projects
• Transporting equipment or materials as assigned (pick-up truck a plus)
• Perform cleaning duties as needed
• Assembling and placing furniture as well as setting up and replacing furniture for retreats
Additional experience with maintenance and construction including: pool, HVAC, flooring, hardscape, pest and weed control, and other skills are a plus.
