Job Summary:
The Clinical Customer Service Representative is responsible for prompt answering and handling of high-volume phone calls in a courteous and knowledgeable manner, ensuring the highest quality of patient care at all times as well as data entry and processing of confidential medical documents.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for answering in bound calls in regard to questions about service, scheduling, health-related inquiries, follow up on appointment and lab results, etc.
• Data entry of information, queries and other job related tasks
• Special project on as-needed basis, may be cross-trained in other areas of the business
Supervisory Responsibility:
• This position has no supervisory responsibility
Work Conditions:
This job operates in a professional medical office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Mo-Sun, 12 hr shifts on flexible, rotating basis
Includes weekends and holidays
May require overtime
Sedentary, sitting for extended periods of time
. Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Valid Medical Assistant Certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Outstanding customer service focus
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet organization's needs as well as effective problem solving skills
• Fast learner with general understanding of medical terminology and ethics of confidentiality/HIPAA
• Computer savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, knowledge of EMR (eClinical Works) a plus
• Must be able to type at least 40 wpm
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification
