Special Counsel is looking to hire a Construction Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity with a top AMLAW client. The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail, be a team player, and demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with client and Litigation Support Department to handle all aspects of electronic discovery
• Act as a liaison between attorneys and Litigation Support Department
• Create chronologies of key events and medical treatment of claimants
• Review and create knowledge base with information from documents produced
• Perform legal research for relevant information regarding cases
• Assist with preparation of reports and provide status updates to clients
• Prepare materials for hearings, trials, and depositions
• Coordinate logistics for out of town trials
• Assist with Appellate filings, prepare Record on Appeal, and exhibits of Bill of Costs
Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Relativity and ECF procedures required
• Understanding of construction litigation or complex litigation required
Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Paralegal Certificate a plus
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal handling construction litigation matters and utilizing electronic discovery
Employment Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
