POSITION SUMMARY
Hands-on Manager for Orion’s RIS Services team.  Facilitates proactive support for teammates, Tower’s Leadership Team, Tower Patients and Tower’s Marketing/Referring Physicians.  Oversee the daily activities to ensure tasks are completed in timely manner provide and ensure consistent excellent support, provide coverage as needed, and escalate appropriately when needed.  Assure Manager is aware of any issues or any tasks where there are issues or where they are falling behind.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage team of 4 RIS Services Coordinators
Work with Tower’s Merge RIS, maintaining support tables, troubleshoot advanced system troubleshooting and monitor all systems that interface or integrate with RIS (Interface/HL7 and Integration Monitors)
Assist in testing and validating new setup, workflows and upgrades
Support Tower Patient troubleshooting with RIS Patient Portal and facilitate resolving issues relating to Patients using OpenDoctor (Account setup, Scheduling, Forms Completion, CheckIn, etc.)
Maintain Training Documents and ensure teams are appropriately trained on current or new tasks or system features
Work together with Training Department and Tower management team on issues related to workflows or on creating new workflows
Assists end-users in resolving RIS issues by fielding telephone calls, email communication and monitoring
Introduce new concepts and operational support needs to implement, train and ensure all team members understand what is needed
Manage teammates schedules to ensure workload is covered
Monitor for completion of all tasks and notify manager of problem areas
Organize all documentation for the team so it is easily accessible
Take lead on any existing or new task/responsibility, related to ever changing atmosphere
Contribute to overall wellbeing of the practice
Participate in team building exercises/gatherings
Provide honest feedback on quality and morale
Contribute to and maintain a culture of continuous improvement through internal workflow review and improvement.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in Healthcare related field or radiology preferred
Information Technology and customer service experience in a service desk environment a plus
Ability to train and support teammates daily
Superior communication skills – verbal and written
Creative problem solving skills, showing an ability to overcome obstacles to ensure quick response
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Patience and ability to excel under pressure, handling multiple requests often with tight deadlines
Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent customer service skills, both written and phone communication
Follow written procedures to maintain consistent customer experience
Excel in an environment with constant changes
2+ years of experience training/managing unexperienced entry level roles
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to fulfil tasks required to be performed outside of business hours
