What you’ll be doing...
Work on a team supporting a flagship application for the Verizon call centers that handle FiOS’ sales, service, and tech support. This application is an important part of the overall customer experience. You will lead various projects to develop, implement and maintain this application.
• Designing and implementing highly scalable solutions involving cloud-based infrastructure.
• Developing and testing application software to modify existing architecture or implementing the new architecture.
• Making necessary changes to the system interfaces to source code libraries and configuration management procedures.
• Developing and maintaining Applications. Developing portal for KPI reporting.
• Working with the architects to come up with new ideas to improve overall application functionality and performance.
• Supporting full SDLC in an agile methodology.
• Analyzing and resolving production issues the first time - with quality and expediency.
• Adhering to our standards and governance policies.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Java/J2EE development.
• Experience in React, AngularJS, or Node.js JavaScript frameworks.
Even better if you have:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• Experience in building enterprise web application from design to production.
• Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven, Oracle, UNIX.
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Working experience with OOP, SOA, modular code development, Microservices, design pattern, multi-threading.
• Experience with Server backend and API/Service development.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
• Experience in cloud computing, a rules engine such as DROOLS, Spring Integration, Caching, or any similar technology, mobile web experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD process in particular - GIT, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in operating in a dynamic environment.
• Self-starter abilities with strong self-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills.
