Masonite International is currently seeking a product management team member who wants to be part of a growing and transforming company and has a passion for turning market insights into tomorrow's new products.  This person will be part of dedicated new product teams and would be responsible for driving new product initiatives through the stage gate process including market launch and commercialization.
This position requires an individual that is very capable of cross-functional leadership, is a creative problem solver and has the ability to translate market insights into actionable new products. As the product management lead, this key contributor will work closely with R&D, product development, operations and sourcing during the stage gate process, as well as with the marketing and sales department during launch and commercialization of new products.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the product management portion of multiple new product initiatives through the stage gate process, ranging from new to world to line extensions. Familiar with agile development techniques including writing user stories and acting as a business product owner to prioritize work at recurring stand up meetings with the technical team.
• Actively pursue market and competitive insights through primary and secondary research to build the product road map and feed the new product introduction (NPI) hopper.
• Assess markets, competitive landscape, new technologies and other external factors, including an understanding of the connected home.
• Develop new product positioning, product scope, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. Formulates pilot go-to-market activities including pre-launch and launch activities working closely with operations, engineering, customers and end users for success.
• Develop and implement integrated promotional plans that target the Strategic Value Target or end-user
• Partner with brand, channel and creative to develop and implement launch plans through Masonite's wholesale and retail channels
• Lead market research efforts ranging from product concept validation to pricing strategy
• Partner with and sometimes lead new product projects that touch sourcing, supply chain, product development, industrial design, product engineering, legal, channel/brand marketing, IT and operations.
• Impact the New Product Vitality Index through successful development and launch of new products.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required. MBA/MS preferred.
• 5+ years of prior experience preferred, with 3+ years relevant experience in marketing with the drive and determination to grow within a given role and within the organization.
• Fact based using research, marketing insights and trends to create a multi-year roadmap.
• Adept marketer able to translate complicated, multi-featured products in to simple benefit oriented messaging
• Able to partner and build relationships cross-functionally.
• An ambassador for developing growth opportunities in Masonite’s ecosystem.
• Possess understanding of frameworks needed to manage a product line across all stages of the product life cycle.
• Able to think strategically while also enjoying tactical execution of programs.
• Familiarity with agile development techniques .
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Candidate must possess strong skills in written and oral communication with all levels of internal management and outside stakeholders.
• Travel ~30%-40% for market research, customer visits, trade shows, manufacturing plants and team meetings.
