Travel: Yes, 10-20% of time
Description:
Work with GCB Compensation management to ensure consistent compensation policies and practices are applied for the NAM, US Consumer Business. This business consists of approximately 14,000 employees in the Retail Banking, Mortgage, Wealth Management, Credit Card and shared functions. This leadership role will manage a team and consult with internal clients on strategy and execution of base pay, bonus, stock programs, market data and job levels; provide day-to-day support to HR team and business leaders; and drive compensation-related projects across GCB and Citi.
Job Overview:
• Drive compensation advisory for the Senior HR Advisors and Senior Business Leaders in the US Consumer business
• Manage a team of Compensation professionals; Develop, attract, and retain talent; recommend staffing levels required to carry out the unit’s role and responsibilities effectively while establishing and adhering to talent management processes, compensation and performance management programs. Mentor and develop junior staff.
• Drive compensation strategy and manage execution of cyclical base pay and incentive processes
• Lead compensation projects across GCB and Citi related to policy/process standardization: systems enhancements, pay structures, communications, etc.
Key Responsibilities :
• Provide leadership/consultation on compensation and related issues including hires, job reviews, market data, the year-end process and Covered Employees
• Partner with multiple teams including HR Advisors, business leaders, HRPS, HRSS, Executive Compensation and Finance to implement and deliver projects
• Utilize complex problem solving to manage transactions and implement design around compensation programs, policies, and procedures
• Role is balanced between day-to-day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction for compensation for US Consumer
• Negotiate internally, often at a senior level, and engage in external communications
• Be a Change Champion by creating innovative solutions for existing and foreseeable problems and proactively challenge the status quo by always adopting a “What’s Next?” mentality
