Axogen is hiring for an IT Director of Enterprise Applications in Tampa, FL !
Job Summary of the IT Director, Enterprise Applications
The IT Director of Enterprise Applications will be a key member of the Axogen IT Leadership team and will oversee the timely and on budget delivery of projects and initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the company. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and vision of the team which oversees the planning, architecture, delivery and administration of our core and 3rd party business applications. The Director will drive technology alignment between our primary stakeholders across all business functions at Axogen (Operations, Commercial, Clinical, R&D, Distribution, Admin/Finance/Quality/HR), while defining the direction for major business facing applications, including those that require adherence to federal regulatory requirements (GxP/BLA).
Requirements of the IT Director, Enterprise Applications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience is required in an IT/Business role working with, and overseeing, the technology/teams that empower the business through IT business systems, in life sciences, biotechnology or healthcare industry.
• Minimum 10 years of management/leadership experience in managing multiple cross functional teams or projects and influencing senior leadership teams and key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of issues and challenges related to technology implementations, segregation of duties, compliance, data governance, audit trails, automation of repetitive administrative tasks, creating and maintaining reports, workflows and system configurations.
• Familiar with the functional and technical best practices of various business processes relating to key business areas around Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Clinical, R&D and Customer Care/Support.
• Proven experience with Enterprise IT Application Delivery, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), strategic planning, project/program management and IT service/change management.
• Experience with key business processes tied to an ERP system like Microsoft Great Plains or SAP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and a deep knowledge of enterprise SaaS applications.
• Hands-on experience with IT business analysis, functional specifications, test planning, test scripting, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for end-user training/adoption of IT business systems.
• Proven experience in strategy, development, and deployment of IT systems with the ability to communicate effectively with Executives, business stakeholders and key technology partners.
• Ability to see big picture and plan for scale when solving problems, with an experience in developing team roadmap and strategic vision.
• Strong business acumen and broad base of technical skills required.
• Experience with a large publicly held firm is a plus.
Responsibilities of the IT Director, Enterprise Applications
The specific duties of the IT Director, Enterprise Applications include but are not limited to:
• Lead and grow over time, team of IT Business Analysts, Developers/Engineers, and Admins/Architects dedicated to running Axogen's Enterprise IT Applications portfolio (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Great Plains, etc.).
• Manages IT project portfolio process and alignment with enterprise strategy, functional business needs and capital and expense
• Manages business partner relationships with a functional areas and senior management.
• Communicate updates to the business and presentations to the senior/executive leadership teams.
• Manage business expectations and prioritize resource allocation based on company's strategic focus areas.
• Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Presents at the executive and board level to gain approval and support for major IT and business
• Ownership of vendor relationships for select core applications, IT services and consultants.
• Mentor and grow the team, develop the next level of leadership within the organization.
• Manages and is responsible for meeting scopes, budgets, and timelines of all IT
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in evolving the vision for implementation and on-going maintenance of core business systems.
• Reviews performance of IT systems and applications to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade
• Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to improve CRM, ERP, and Integrated Business processes.
• Lead teams using a fact/data driven approach, utilizing metrics, report cards and regular project reviews.
• Ensure services are delivered within established security and compliance standards.
• Responsible for compliance, governance and readiness under GxP, SOX, BLA and other regulatory requirements for IT business systems and associated processes.
• Create long term strategy for enterprise IT application rationalization and consolidation.
• Partner with peers across technology teams to ensure high availability of critical systems.
• Review current applications inventory and processes to develop a plan for future growth.
• Develop and manage project plans/program roadmaps and monitor/report progress.
