Description The Senior Scrum Master coordinates an agile development team, ensures all activities use the principles of the Scrum Framework. The Senior Scrum Master work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Responsibilities Humana is seeking a Senior Scrum Master that: + Leads teams through work actions that can be completed within timeboxed iterations called sprints and tracks progress through 15-minute stand-up meetings. + Begins to influence departments strategy. + Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. + Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. + Conducts relevant scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, sprint retrospective, user story refinement + Able to identify various integration points of solution and work with all impacted teams + Maintain Sprint plans, Move user stories through various phases i.e. from design to deployment + Ability to report various metrics to sprint team and stakeholders + Work with RTEs to aid with scrum of scrums + Be able to negotiate and establish work effort estimates and successfully track the same Required Qualifications + Experience with the SDLC + Excellent communication skills, leadership competencies, and high level of emotional intelligence + Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or advanced level familiarity with the Agile methodologies + Experience in working in multi-team environment + First hand knowledge of SAFe practices + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + Prior Health Care insurance operations background + Technical documentation abilities + Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology + Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools + Scrum Master certification + Previous experience planning and managing large projects + Prior experience in the health solutions industry + Working experience with IT teams Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
