JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide direction and monitoring of workflow to meet deadlines and assure departmental coverage
• Develop departmental policies/procedures and maintains these in written format
• Provide feedback to employees via PD&R process, daily feedback, corrective actions and mentoring
• Knowledge of all area of histology and cytology support functions and able to perform proficiently as needed
• Identify and resolve all employee/client issues
• Responsible for scheduling of time off/breaks/lunches
• May supervise transcription area
• Demonstrate and convey an understanding of the compliance policies relating to test ordering, test reporting, add-on tests, TIQ/TNRP, reflex tests and custom panels
• Responsible for orientation and training of newly hired employees
• Able to perform all AP Support Specialist, AP Resolution Specialist and other support functions, as needed
• All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Education or equivalent; A. S. degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of basic computer functions and Quest LIS
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational, collaborative and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment
• Must have a thorough knowledge of client services, TIQ/TNRP, cytology and histology support functions
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 3-6 years related experience
1. High School Education or equivalent; A. S. degree preferred 2. Strong knowledge of basic computer functions and Quest LIS 3. Strong problem solving and leadership skills 4.
