**A day in the life**
Reporting to the Australia New Zealand Business Manager, Structural Heart the Therapy Development Specialist will focus on providing sales, clinical, technical and educational expertise in supporting the market development efforts for the Structural Heart business. **In this role, you will:**
+ Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, provide case assessment, implant support and follow-up, and develop and execute effective training and development programs.
+ Be a therapy champion and serve as a liaison for the Structural Heart organisation during the introduction and development of this therapy to the market.
+ Liaise across Structural Heart to ensure alignment and overall strategic objectives are being met.
+ Practice professional and effective account management in terms of organisation, administration, inventory management and expense planning and control.
+ Ensure that the Companys agreed quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact
+ Identify, qualify and recruit new centres interested in our therapies
+ Provide on-site clinical assessment, implant and follow-up support in new and existing centres
+ Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products to promote Medtronic products vs. the competition
+ Communicate developments in techniques and technologies, impact of education programs, competitive activities, and customer response back to the Business Unit.
+ Coordinate with the therapy project teams to achieve overall business goals.
+ Work with international training education and marketing teams on the execution of training and education materials/tools.
+ Train customers on safe and efficacious use of Medtronic TCV products.
+ Provide technical explanation and demonstration to customers including, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, echo-cardiographists, Cath Lab staff and administration.
+ Conduct training programs at the Sydney training centre, Medtronic Centres of Excellence and participate in on-site follow up with customers
+ Serve as an expert on simulators including set-up, demonstrations and trouble shooting
+ Provide technical support for case assessment and product implants (trouble shooting, etc.)
**Must have:**
+ Proven experience in a clinical setting with a strong Cath Lab background preferred.
+ An independent and self-motivated approach; be positive, energetic and enthusiastic
+ A strong understanding of the function and purpose of cardiovascular products and experience in operating as a technical support expert
+ The ability to build credible relationships with all key stakeholders, including specialists, peers, physicians, and vascular lab staff.
+ Willingness and the ability to learn complex technical information. Ability to interpret clinical data.
+ Strong clinical knowledge base in anatomy, physiology, and cardiology/interventional terminology.
+ Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills ; be customer focused and empathetic.
+ Professional presentation. Ability to present to internal and external groups.
+ Strong team playing skills with the ability and willingness to handle additional duties during peak periods
+ Skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, planning and time-management.
+ Demonstrated ability to work with organisational decision makers (internal/external)
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic relationships and communicate concepts with key influencers
+ Demonstrable track record developing Business Plans, goal setting and team building, people management
+ Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
