As a Marketing Operations Project Intern , you will work with the Marketing Operations Director to help coordinate assigned marketing projects inclusive of: ensuring the team is delivering tasks on time, updating project Gantt charts with any updates based on project delays, organize project files and support with completing tasks as it relates to assigned project in order to help achieve specified project milestones.
Assignments will vary according to business needs and intern qualifications. All assignments will be designed to stretch your skills and to support your professional development by working across multiple departments and learning the inner workings of a marketing department and various marketing roles.
• Approximately ten-week summer assignment at a Masonite Operations Location
• Development of personal and professional skills through training, networking and mentoring relationships
• Interactions with senior leaders during intern activities such as lunch-and-learn events, 1:1 leadership dialogues and executive report outs
• The opportunity to build teamwork skills through interaction with other interns and colleagues
The Marketing Operations Project Intern will support in coordinating assigned marketing projects ensuring team is delivering tasks on time, within scope and on budget. Updating project gannt charts, scheduling team meetings and following up with all tasks as necessary. Keeping proper accounting and report out on business tools (i.e. powerBI, marketing resource management tool etc.)
Responsibilities:
• Be part of the team to develop, plan and manage the project timeline to meet the forecasted delivery deadline
• Monitor project performance using project KPI metrics
• Identify, analyze and address risks that could affect the success of a project
• Manage relationships with the individual program owner, including the timely flow of information within the project team, the company and vendors, and to/from the program owner
• Maintain departmental process documentation & record of expenses.
Education:
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field marketing, business, communications or related field
Competencies:
• Ability to implement and manage projects
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews to gain feedback
• Exceptional collaboration skills and project administrative skills
• Ability to work with diverse skill sets (from technical to strategic resources)
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to audience needs
• Microsoft suites
