Reporting to U.S. Banks Enterprise Analytics team, this individual will be a highly engaged, expert analytics partner with a passion for how data can deliver value for their clients. The lead analyst will be expected to be flexible, but their primary responsibility will be to orchestrate analytics efforts for business leaders within the consumer bank by bringing data science, analytics, reporting, and data development to the table as strategies and products are designed. The Lead Analyst will work as both a leader and translator, designing analytical products and organizing a larger team of experts to deliver insights and intelligence. As U.S. Banks data architecture and analytics capabilities are rapidly expanding, a successful candidate will need both broad expertise and the ability to learn new methods, data, and tools quickly. The Lead Analyst will understand and anticipate business needs, translate them into user stories that other analysts can act on, and often will design, develop, and join the work directly as a player-coach. This individual will act as a leader, but not a manager their focus will be directing the day-to-day work of individuals to deliver rapid value, rather than hiring, training, and growing analysts. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as econometrics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience - Six to eight years of statistics or analytics experience Preferred Skills/Experience - Masters degree in math, statistics, data science, or MBA - 5 years of analytical experience with customer data leveraging a large relational database - 3 years coding in languages like SAS, R, or Python - 2 years in a client-facing, consultative role (e.g., agency, consultancy, internal client-facing) - Experience working in an agile (scrum) environment - Experience designing and implementing predictive or prescriptive intelligence - Strong technical skills with the ability to extract, combine, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets - Experience working in the banking industry, marketing, and/or digital analytics **Job:** Risk/Compliance/QC/Audit/Fraud **Primary Location:** United States **Shift:** 1st - Daytime **Average Hours Per Week:** 40 **Requisition ID:** 200021397 U.S. Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
