Administrative - Project Sales Support

The P roject S ales S upport A ssociate
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
• Set up and maintain customer job master files, hard copy and on the computer.
• Enter direct sales and purchase orders.
• Place orders with supplier.
• Follow up on ship dates, ensuring customers receive orders on time.
• Enter acknowledgments or email shipping information.
• Print and route job status report.
• Process change orders.
• Process materials for warranty, replacement, defectiveness, or returns.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies.
• Log status updates in project file.
Additional Responsibilitie s
• Attend and/or conduct meetings with customers and suppliers.
• Actively participate in and contribute to Mayer's Continuous Quality Improvement efforts.
• Complet e assigned training in a timely manner.
• May participate in or assist with physical inventory preparation or process.
• Demonstrate commitment to Mayer's core values and vision to be First Choice with our suppliers, customers, and associates.
• Complete all other appropriate tasks or duties assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities
• Excellent communication , interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task effectively , with great attention to detail
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
• High school diploma or GED
• One year of exposure to project management .
Desired Qualifications :
• Some college education
• T wo years of experience in the electrical distribution industry.
Other
Work Environmen t:
• The P roject S ales S upport A ssociate 's work is primarily accomplished in an office setting using a telephone and a computer .
• Some may travel to customer sites to support sales.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer .
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
• Overnight travel may be required on occasion to attend training or meetings.
