Role overview:
The ProSim Specialist supports the technicians in the assembly of ProSim Projector parts for the JSF F35 'Griffin Dome Simulator system.
Reporting to the Production Manager, they are responsible for the day to day running of the ProSim production area and cleanroom including ordering consumables, chemicals and solvents, calibrating equipment, ensuring compliance with FOD, ESD and Test and Tag.
They will monitor the cleanroom to ensure optimum performance and use data analysis to track particulate counts and schedule maintenance of the clean room and all technical support equipment.
Liaise with suppliers, tradesmen and equipment manufacturers.
Carry out training as required, supporting the Production Manager and Technicians to ensure consistent high quality output of ProSim parts.
Primary responsibilities:
+ Supporting the technicians in the assembly of ProSim parts.
+ Ensure optimum efficiency of the clean room, production room and all support equipment.
+ Monitor and analyse trends with particulate counts and schedule maintenance as required.
+ Control quality of all consumables, chemicals and solvents and all required support equipment.
+ Maintain and ensure calibration of all tools, jigs, ESD and test equipment.
+ Conduct gowning and clean room protocols training and keep records.
+ Liaise with suppliers and equipment manufacturers to ensure smooth running of equipment.
Skills and experience:
Essential
+ A highly motivated individual who is motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
+ Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Has worked in a high functioning team environment.
+ A technical or trade background, with a certificate III in Electronics / Engineering discipline.
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
+ An understanding of complex assembly processes and techniques.
+ High level of attention to detail.
+ High level of computer literacy, especially Excel.
+ Has an eye for quality
+ Has Material Resource Planning [MRP] experience
Desirable
+ Experience of data analysis.
+ Clean room experience.
+ MRP experience in SAP
+ Optronics experience, or a similar field
+ Has conducted quality inspection experience
