This is a Pick Developer for one of our largest healthcare clients.
This position is 100% remote
1. 5 years legacy application development
2. 3 years experience with Pick Programming
- Pick is a legacy operating system that is used primarily for data processing
3. 3 years experience with UniVerse/U2 Development
- U2 is a rocket software product that includes two database platforms: UniData and UniVerse
- CSC is a healthcare application within U2 Development-CSC would be a huge plus
Description
*Follows all programming procedures and policies outlined by Legacy Application
* Works on low-moderate complexity designs
* May require assistance of analyst to interpret business requirements on how to implement code to meet operational needs.
* Develops, QA's and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs
* Identifies and analyzing low-moderate complexity requirements for system changes
* Develops software systems changes
* Completes feasibility studies with other Legacy Application software to make sure nothing breaks down the line
* Creates test plan
* Outlines operations' responsibilities before software is released
* Confirms programming changes are acceptable by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes and works with operations for final approvals before releasing.
* Delivers quality in his/her programming
* Documents programs for maintainability
* Strong in PICK programming
*Strong in Unix knowledge
* Maintains data dictionaries on Legacy Application by revising and entering definitions or new attributes.
* Provides day to day application and programming support for production environment
* Monitors automated processes for all clients and ensure results meet or exceed client needs and are delivered on time.
