POSITION CONCEPT
The SAP Functional Analyst resides in the SAP Center of Excellence department within the IT&T organization and collaborates on all phases of the systems development life-cycle (SDLC) with a focus on the analysis, design, and development of configuration-based solutions.  The SAP Functional Analyst provides oversight and strategic direction to the AMS to ensure efficient service delivery to Enterprise business users and to lead the day-to-day responsibilities to support and maintain applications.  The SAP Functional Analyst is accountable for translating the business requirements of the functional Area (e.g., Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Customer Service, Billing, etc.) into the SAP system.  Ensure business partner satisfaction through all aspects of service delivery including project work, enhancements, service requests and incidents.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assumes ownership of all Service Delivery tickets in functional area, partnering with AMS provider to: • Ensure application stability, data integrity, and policy alignment.
• Convey business context and priority to AMS provider, monitor progress, ensure defined SLAs are met.
• Monitor, measure, and improve application service delivery to meet business needs of functional area.
• Ensure that the quality and timeliness of resolution for application issues and operational activities are met within service level agreements and within legal business expectation report on operational health to business and IT leadership.
• Accountable for SAP configuration to support defined business processes/functions including legal patches released by SAP by performing timely testing, and validation Assists in providing SAP Configuration support through direct contact, service desk, and referrals/emails/voice mails that includes query assistance and data entry process/procedures guidance for business units.
• Supports the request and analysis phases of SDLC by assisting with documentation and estimates.  Executes the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables, under the guidance of more senior staff.
• Participates on Application Development, Support, as well as Project teams under the direction of their manager, senior team members, or project managers.
• Works with business unit analysts/administrators to maintain knowledge of processes/functions relevant to projects and application support assignments, as well as maintains appropriate technical skills to troubleshoot SAP system(s); uses understanding of system setup, interdependencies of data flow and interfaces to conduct root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Coordinate system changes by identifying system requirements, definition, testing, training and implementation as well as provide specifications to work management systems, third party remittance, IT and other areas of the Organization.
• Establishes regular business partner engagement to understand business environment and needs, provide consultation services of the existing applications capability, convey the operational health check.  Be point of contact for escalations.
• Partners and effectively collaborates with other operational towers within IT (like Infrastructure, Security, and Service Integration) to ensure operational efficiency.
• Demonstrates Company values through decisions and actions.  Promotes the Company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field required .
Preferred: Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field desired.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
Direct Experience
Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience performing the Duties and Responsibilities of this position. Minimum of 6 years of IT/Technical experience.
Preferred: SAP Experience including full end to end project lifecycle in Gas or Electric utility implementations.  Experience in providing functional services for SAP ERP Solutions (ECC: FI/CO, MM, HR/PY) performing the duties of systems analysis, design, and development.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required:
• Strong experience of SAP solutions Supply Chain/Procurement Procure to Pay Process.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing effectively and collaborating with internal employees, third party entities, and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
• Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
• Must demonstrate effective decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the software development process.
• Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Preferred:
• Strong experience in Contract Life Cycle Management, Vendor Invoice Management, Ariba, and Field Glass.
• Understanding of SAP landscape and its applicability and integration across multiple operational departments in a utility organization.
• Experience partnering in an AMS model with demonstrated results of timely delivery of operational services meeting service level agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement of AMS model
• Knowledge of how TECO business and customer processes are implemented in the SAP solution.
• Knowledge of SAP solutions utilized in the utility industry such as S4, Suite on HANA, Success Factors, PowerPlan, IS-U, CRM, BDEX, etc.
