Being a member of the Client Services Risk & Control Office, within our DTCC Solutions organization, means you will be part of a diverse and collaborative team.  The Risk and Control Office serves as the front-line risk team for the Client Services organization and is accountable for assessing and instituting effective management of operational risks, as well as conformance with enterprise policies, frameworks and standards. This team plays a critical role in the design, planning, assessment, monitoring, mitigation and testing phases of the risk program across all the risk types for each of the groups making up Client Services.
The successful candidate  will serve as a 'Risk Champion' who will partner with the Client Services Line Managers, Business, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and Technical teams, as well as the rest of the control functions in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks in both business as usual processes and across change initiatives. The Director in this role will manage and develop a global team responsible for driving a comprehensive portfolio of risk management action plans across Client Services, and challenging, problem solving and escalating issues/concerns as appropriate.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
The responsibilities for this role fall into three primary categories:
• Risk and Control Framework (~50%):
• Developing and monitoring a wide-ranging and proactive risk and control framework
• Leading the build out and execution of the management control testing program
• Driving Incident/Problem Management activities
• Instilling productive ¬risk assessment and management practices, including honest reflection on past risk events and organizational misses for collectively doing better and addressing problems at the root
• Driving a holistic view that takes into account many diverse perspectives on risks and recognizes how risks intersect and play out across many departments and functions of the Client Services organization
• Risk and Control Advisory Support (~35%)
• Preparing New Initiative Risk (NIC) assessments, Management Self Identification issues, Technology Risk Management Deviations, Risk Acceptances and Third-Party Risk assessments
• Managing ad-hoc risk related projects such as risk profiles validation, policy and procedure maintenance, creation/validation of risk meeting materials etc, assessment of incident root cause trends and remediations
• Coaching and guiding stakeholders and Line Managers on how to embed preventative measures and key controls to assess the health of their processes
• Cultivating a culture of inquiry and candor across stakeholders and Line Managers who must be willing to openly discuss and deconstruct risks
• Uplifting the notion of ‘risk’ as something more dynamic than a burden – something that is worth consideration and investment
• Risk and Control Team Leadership and Development (~15%)
• Lead recruiting and training activities
• Drive talent development and team coaching efforts
• Take the lead in conflict resolution and management, as needed
• Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Talents Needed For Success:
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
• Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and negotiation skills
• Ability to persuade leaders for influencing decisions and driving accountability
• Experience in coaching or mentoring employees (particularly global teams) and proven ability to successfully manage conflict, with demonstrated team building skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of the Risk and Control frameworks, best practices and principles
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills – attention to detail is key
• Ability to forge relationships and long-term partnerships with key stakeholders and Client Services leadership
• Experienced in driving and adapting to change and prioritizing work in a dynamic, high pressure environment
