SUMMARY:
The Dealer Systems Analyst will support the core Dealer Management System (DMS) and all auxiliary Production platforms and integrations used in conjunction with the DMS to support daily business operations. This role will be the primary point of contact for all requests and inquiries related to the business systems in use across the enterprise. In addition to Production support requests, this role will be an active contributor on new systems implementation and enhancement projects, documenting new and existing features and functionality, and in driving relationships with business users across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serve as the single point of escalation for issues and enhancements to the Dealer Management System (DMS), ERP platform, and all internally developed enterprise tools
• Analyze, facilitate, model and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated Production issues as they arise
• Open trouble tickets with third party partners and regularly maintain status with vendors and business users
• Work closely with internal/external technical resources and SME’s to identify potential integration issues or data model problems
• Document user stories and acceptance criteria for feature enhancement requests and bug fixes
• For new functionality, document detailed business and functional requirements with SME’s and drive progress toward business acceptance
• Collaborate with IT Leadership and SME’s to comprehend and document key design decisions
• Coordinate and monitor deliverables against project timelines for IT systems
• Responsible for documenting functional design elements and process flow diagrams for all internally developed applications and update master documentation to reflect product changes once deployed
• Test enhancements in QA and drive UAT with business users and SME’s prior to general release and document test conditions with results
• Analyze user security requirements and maintain access controls in alignment with SOX compliance
• Administer changes to the Production environment according to established policies and procedures
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum high school diploma level of education required; Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or similar background strongly preferred
• 2+ years of technical support & troubleshooting experience required
• 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level distributed business systems required
• Proficient knowledge of SDLC principles from initiation to implementation
• Working technical knowledge of SaaS multi-cloud operating environments and web API integrations
• Experience working with SQL Server writing queries to troubleshoot issues and research enhancements
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Familiarity with JIRA and/or Confluence is a plus
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Automotive, recreational, and/or commercial vehicle dealership industry experience is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Availability to work over 40 hours a week if necessary with little to no notice.
• Must be able to stand / walk for at least 8 hours a day.
