Position Overview
Provide leadership to the workforce and manage day to day service operational issues in the delivery of quality solutions to our customers. Responsible for the overall development, performance and management of the workforce (First Line Technicians, Second Line Technicians and Installation Technicians).
Manage equipment installation, service performance and operating costs while following established business processes to meet or exceed goals and objectives.
You are responsible for
• Responsible for support of a customer base of $2M - $5M. Oversee an annual operating budget of approximately $1M to 3M. Geographic assignment can range from a large metro area to multiple states.
• Manage workforce to ensure customer satisfaction levels for service, systems and installation are met or exceeded throughout assigned territory.
• Review and manage technical performance of the team territory in order to meet or exceed established performance goals.
• Maintain proper staffing levels by recruiting and hiring competent individuals necessary to accomplish team and productivity goals.
• Perform skills assessments and audits to determine whether an associate has sound installation, service and repair techniques, proper tools and manuals, and good customer relations skills.
• Develop capabilities of the workforce assigned within the team territory to ensure they are trained, productive and proficient to meet or exceed our customer's needs.
• Financial responsibility including managing expenses within budget, managing direct labor and billed work.
• Ensure compliance to state, local, and corporate policies and procedures. (example: OSHA, PCI, asset management, key management, OTL).
• Responsible to implement and maintain key processes within their area of responsibility.
• Ensure workforce properly maintains company provided resources (cell phone, vehicles, corporate card, computers etc.).
• Manage and verify insurance, licenses, permits, and certifications as applicable.
• Extensive local travel within respective area.
Qualifications
• Position requires a self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills and technical aptitude.
• Individual should possess leadership capabilities, demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (oral/written) and have good problem solving and customer satisfaction skills.
• Must be able to function well in a Technician/Matrixed team environment.
• The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in business administration or an engineering discipline (particularly electronics, electrical and/or software) or 5 years of relevant experience. Must have strong PC skills.
• Required to be on-call after hours for problem escalation.
