Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. has an opening for Lead PLM Developer in Tampa, Florida.
Create and modify computer programs and COTS PLM functionality by converting project requirements into code/configuration. Achieve Project objectives both technical and schedule by designing, implementing, testing, and supporting technical application solutions. Implement strong software process discipline including best-practice design, development, testing, and build, deploy disciplines. Participate in or possibly lead discussions with users pertaining to process development as it relates to tools used for product lifecycle management. Coordinate unit, system and integration level test plans, execution, and documentation of results. Utilize knowledge and experience in understanding and guiding engineering lifecycle workflow change management practices and approaches. Lead development and configuration of PLM workflows. Develop integrations of CAD tools into PLM solution. Responsible for configuration and management of PLM/PDM domain.Plan programs by studying specifications; arrange specifications by developing logical sequence, preparing flowcharts, and researching solutions. Code specifications by converting logical sequence and workflow into program language. Verify coding by performing unit testing and trial runs. Prepare program documentation. Advance job knowledge to the next level by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and learning from mentors and peers. Follow company standards. Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions. 5% to 10% travel (approx. one week per quarter) required, to work with Engineering Teams from different domestic and international manufacturing plants. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Job Requirements
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related, and five years of IT development experience.
Must have 5 years of PLM administration experience. Also, must have work experience with the following:
• PTC Windchill Product Life Cycle System;
• SolidWorks 3D CAD program;
• Agile software development discipline;
• Guiding engineering lifecycle workflow and changing management practices and approaches;
• Bill of Materials management processes; and
·Windchill customization .
