Job Description & Summary

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
• Understanding cloud security configuration;
• Understanding Windows and Linux operating system administration;
• Understanding IT and Security management industry leading practices (ITIL, COBIT, ISO standards);
• Understanding cloud platform security policy management;
• Understanding administration and management of continuous monitoring solutions;
• Understanding container security and orchestration concepts and industry leading practices;
• Writing and maintaining risk assessment reports (RARs) and plans of action and milestones (POAMs) for systems hosted in the Cloud;
• Understanding security frameworks such as CSA, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, etc.;
• Having aptitude and willingness to build skills to identify and assess cloud security vulnerabilities and risks;
• Explaining security and compliance risks and recommended remediation; and,
• Creating reporting and metrics using Excel (i.e. pivot tables) and Splunk.
Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success contributing to new intellectual capital through deep knowledge in all areas related to Cloud Security Operations including:
• Working as part of a team of problem solvers to support mission critical operations and establish continued compliance with important Cybersecurity principles in a Cloud environment;
• Utilization of modern technologies and techniques across multiple providers and vendors while supporting multiple cloud service implementations (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS);
• Leading the configuration and support of security products and technologies;
• Leading troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical challenges for stakeholders;
• Developing and maintaining documentation for security solutions and processes;
• Identifying areas of cloud security improvements and drive respective work stream activities;
• Providing Cloud Security-related training to team members;
• Leading and solving customer support requests, and coordinating and prioritizing resolutions;
• Maintaining platform and application security posture, including identifying, recommending, and/or remediating risks associated within cloud infrastructure;
• Working closely with engineering teams while developing security controls; and,
• Driving mitigation of reported risks from continuous monitoring solutions.
