JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for highly talented individuals to help expand our service department to meet the growing community need. This involves the hands-on repair and refurbishing of cell phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops, as well as time in-store evaluating customer needs and providing solutions. Must have a love for Apple® products and technology as well as the desire to learn advanced troubleshooting and repair. Micro soldering knowledge a plus, not required. We are a top 3 performing Franchise location nationally, so come motivated and stay positive!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides on-site and in-shop Apple/PC laptop or desktop computer/server repair.
• Mobile device repair (iPhone’s, iPad’s, Androids, etc).
• Basic micro soldering of mobile devices and MacBooks.
• Setup Macs and mobile devices.
• Possesses In-depth macOS and iOS systems as well as Windows PC systems.
• Uses problem solving and people skills to ensure swift resolutions to technical problems.
• Provides accurate timelines for repairs and upgrades.
• Tests, troubleshoots, diagnoses, replaces and/or repairs computer and mobile hardware failures.
• Provide in-store retail customer service as needed.
• Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service and product needs in showroom.
• Helps customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Shows a positive outlook and outgoing personality as a representative for our brand.
• Meet and/or exceed sales and service goals.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Experimax's services and pricing structure.
• Manage the day-to-day schedule for service and sales-centered tasks.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• At least one year experience required in cell phone, tablet, and computer hardware repair.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimum reworks and damages in a fast-paced environment.
• One year experience of micro soldering of mobile devices and computers, is a plus.
• Must have previous experience interacting with customers and/or businesses.
• Ability to listen and intelligently respond to customers while in public situations.
• Possess strong verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Works well with others and promotes a positive work environment.
• Must present and communicate in a professional manner and have good time management skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
• Computer proficiency in Apple and Microsoft applications; Apple computer experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a related field a plus.
• One year of experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business or consumer-based).
• Must have the ability to stand on feet and/or sit for long periods of time and ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Travel to various sites for occasional on-site repair and/or community-based networking events (< 20%).
• Consistent and reliable mode of transportation.
• Good driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must have the ability to sit / stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Range of shifts between 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday; (38-40 hours). Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends (90% of Sundays off). Occasionally be able to work later for community events or scheduled on Sundays (< 10%).
