Job Description
Our client is an award-winning eLearning company that provides SaaS solutions to industries across the US.  They are seeking a full time REMOTE Linux Cloud Administrator to join the team.  Candidates can live anywhere in the US for this amazing opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Build, maintain, and support production and non-production servers within AWS.
• Responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, software, related infrastructure.
• Ensures that operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling customers, staff, and partners.
• Oversee maintenance such as patching, account maintenance, backups, and security permissions.
• Monitor server security, perform routine security assessments, and manage software update services.
• Daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for production services and applications.
• Ensure system scalability, redundancy, and failover mechanisms are working and tested.
• Provide support for application deployments.
Required Skills:
• Preferred experience with AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps certification
• Knowledge of AWS platform and its services (AMIs, Route53, VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, AWS CLI, EBS, ELB, SQS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical field or equivalent experience in a technical position.
• Experience maintaining .NET/MS SQL applications .
• Windows System Administration experience.
• Some programming / scripting experience (Powershell, C#, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• Networking experience including IPsec, VPN, DNS, certificate management, load balancing, firewalls and routing.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket or GitHub.
• Experience with system health and performance monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, SolarWinds, Nagios, SumoLogic, Splunk).
• Experience administering web servers running IIS.
