Position Summary
TBG is seeking a Special Security Office candidate to provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to provide support to the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2- SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs.
Principle Responsibilities of the Position:
• Physically inspect and document findings for USCENTCOM Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) accreditation in order to identify deficiencies affecting SCIF accreditations.
• Perform and maintain all annual SCIF inspection checklists
• Maintain and document daily inspection records for all PDSs to help preclude and detect tampering
• Maintain the Open Storage Inspection Program and perform annual inspections of approved open storage areas
• Inspect, assess and draft responses to requests for residential use and storage of sensitive and classified information and equipment. Recommend whether the residence meets the minimum physical security standards to adequately protect classified information
• Manage and maintain the access badge system and provide customer service at the USCENTCOM visitor center, USCENTCOM compound and facilities
• Maintain the online Access Control Database (ACD) and maintain badge records in the American Magnetic Technology (AMAG) system
• Monitor the AMAG Intrusion Detection System/CCTV to help control access and preclude any unauthorized access
• Process FVEY Mitigation packages and TSCIF accreditation requests for approval
• Brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA)
• Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance
• Provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage
• Support the Information Security Working Group, the monthly brief for the CoS and Tasker Management Program
• Assist in preparation, processing and tracking personnel initial and periodic reinvestigations for Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Electronic Questionnaire
• Perform security in/out processing of personnel, weekly SCI Indoctrination briefings, and security debriefings for the Command. In/out processing duties include: Verify security clearance eligibility, create Personnel Security Folders, provide appropriate indoctrination paperwork, create appropriate access badge with photo, update all security databases, schedule SCI indoctrination briefings as required, and maintain data on the security clearance investigations status
• Monitor JPAS eligibility updates, DIA Record Message Traffic (RMT), and cross-reference multiple repository databases to include facilitating the transfer of records/info to Intelligence Community databases for security clearance eligibility and access
• Process and maintain a current and accurate database of security clearances of Foreign Nationals and other personnel visiting or assigned to USCENTCOM
• OCONUS travel may be required
Education Required:
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience as a Security Professional
Experience Required:
• Experience working at a Combatant Command Security Office or deployed as an SSO or served as an FSO
• Must be able to function independently as a senior level SSO
• Systems experience with at least one intelligence discipline application, in the areas of intelligence analysis, collection management, or targeting training
Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
• US government clearance: Current Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly
• Completed DIA SSO course or equivalent.
AND
o Security Plus Certification and Security System Certified Professional , or equivalent other two DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level II certifications; at least one IAT Level III certification is preferred
OR
o Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD) and experience using American Magnetics (AMAG) Access Control systems and Control Point Closed Circuit TV or equivalent system, and experience with wireless security and a strong Physical Security background
OR
o Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security System
