The Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees.
Responsibilities
• Assesses training and development needs through analysis, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with leaders and end users.
• Creates, organizes, plans, delivers various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
• Partners with other departments to coordinate and guide their respective planning and delivery of essential job skills training.
• Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, online courses, knowledge bank articles, simulations, and videos.
• Evaluates program effectiveness through analysis, assessments, surveys, and feedback.
• Maintains records of training and development activities and assessments.
• Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
• Performs other related training and HR duties, as required.
Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong business partner/collaborative mindset.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
• Extremely proficient with office software including document editors, spreadsheets, email, web conferencing and instant messaging.
Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
• At least four years of experience developing and delivering employee training programs required.
• Experience training a remote workforce preferred.
• Background in researching, selecting, and partnering with outside training vendors preferred.
