Position overview

The goal of the Commercial Relationship Specialist is to provide sales support, client relationship management, and interact with clients while properly maintaining a credit portfolio. And will demonstrate knowledge in all banking services including credit, treasury services, and depository services.
Primary duties and Responsibilities
· Ability to understand and review all necessary loan documents for accuracy, prior to closing.
Demonstrated knowledge of Middle Market credit, including interest rate swaps, tax-exempt financing, bond financing.
Ability to provide direct assistance to clients with respect to existing or new service requests.
· Ability to assist clients with business and personal accounts or partner with appropriate bank representatives for service needed.
Ability to follow up on loan files for specified documents and clear up any / all loan exceptions and to prepare and organize loan packages for presentment to Loan Committee members.
Demonstrated ability to proactively participate in the community banking efforts within the Middle Market segment by identifying and developing strong referral relationships and actively participating in civic, professional and non-profit organizations.
Demonstrated understanding of credit quality maintenance of loan portfolios.· Ability to communicate with impact and enthusiasm in formal and informal settings audiences such as corporate leadership, major project leadership, and loan committee.
Ability to flexibly apply rules or procedures, while remaining guided by the organization’s values.
Ability to assist clients with special requests or problem inquiries and seeks others to assist as needed.
Ability to contribute to a supportive learning environment by sharing knowledge.
· Uses technical skills to service clients with expanding and deepening new products and services.
Demonstrates the ability to draw logical conclusions based on in-depth analysis of information and can recognize causes and consequences of actions and events that are not readily apparent.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain continuous, open and consistent communication with staff and clients.
· Ability to use current software (ex: SalesLogix, Expedite, CFI Laserpro, WireXchange, etc.) and information technology to accomplish tasks.
· Attends job-specific training classes as required, this includes but is not limited to, completing annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understanding employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program.
Minimum Qualification
· 5+ years of Banking Experience
· 4- Year Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BS or BA) preferably with a business or finance focus, or equivalent work experience
· Extensive knowledge of Treasury Services products
· Experience with interest rate swaps
· Experience with tax-exempt and bond financing
· Experience with participation and syndication financing
· Experience with both consumer and commercial credit
· Experience with Dealer Financial Services
