Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Data Quality work stream for Banking Book. Manage the data quality issues list, resolution of issues with various remediation teams, monitor DQ statistics and run the council meetings
• Connect with risk managers, risk reporting and limit monorting teams globally to ensure all data quality issues are looged with the Banking Book DQ council and be the point of contact of all banking book data issues
• Develop a cohesive data strategy to consume data from strategic sources for risk monitoring and reporting
• Represent risk at the data strategy working sessions and steering committee
• Develop a plan for all credit attributes to be derived by first line systems
• Eliminate all manual touch-points and enrichments within Risk
• Develop a plan to make daily data usable on a T+1 basis
• Eliminate differences between monthly and daily data feeds
• Setup a DQ monitoring dashboard by partnering with the team's reconciliation and DQ monitoring unit
• Work with technology and PMO to build a detailed plans around above remediation efforts
Qualifications:
• 10+ year experience in the areas of risk management, project management and technology implementations
• 10+ year experience in managing teams and leading large-scale programs
• Data science experience, including: a) In-depth understanding of data structures and data manipulation b) Ability to analyze large datasets using Tableau (and other tools) and proficiency in building interactive dashboards c) Analytical ability to model data and draw conclusions
• Understanding of Markit's Loans IQ application is a plus
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals outlined by management
• Understanding of banking products, credit risk systems and concepts
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with demonstrated experience in executing against tight deadlines and managing issue escalation
• High level of personal integrity, proven dedication to excellence, leadership qualities and a flexible, creative, innovative personality
