Key Responsibilities – Risk Data Governance Office - Lead
Lead or actively participate in various Risk DGO initiatives, including but not limited to:
• Creating a meaningful and strategic framework to address DQ for significant data areas within Risk, as part of the CDMP, which emphasizes data accountability at the senior levels.
• Work across Risk segments to implement an effective data quality management process.
• Ensuring DQ Risk stripe specific forums are in place to gather and synthesis DQ issues, provide a coordinated effort across key stakeholders to discuss, prioritize and assign issues to the appropriate team for solutioning, have metrics in place, and raise as an IMR where appropriate.
• Work to implement an improved IMR process to address identified DQ issues in systems and processes that provide data to Risk.
• Participate actively in other DQP initiatives, such as data tracing, CDE identification, development of a unified business and data architecture, data quality metrics and reduction of EUCs.
• Ensure data quality metrics are meaningful and insightful, are connected to DQ risk specific forums/working groups/strategic solutioning and firm-wide initiatives, and compensating controls are robust as possible and connected to MCAs
• Adopt a best in class approach, and highlight and engage on process stream-line opportunities across all efforts
Qualifications – Experience & Professional Skills
• 10 to 15 years of experience in data architecture and technology infrastructure, BCBS 239 intiatives, data and reporting controls or related areas at a global bank, ideally in a similar global reporting role
• Knowledge of Risk data and infrastructure current capabilities and challenges
• Ability to synthesize complex data/analytics into succinct and effective communications, workstream efforts, and presentations
• Prior leadership in technology, processes and data
• Track record of delivering complex projects related to data, aggregation and reporting
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic, high-volume and complex environment with a practical solutions-driven approach
Qualifications – Interpersonal
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise, succinct manner
• Strong leadership experience, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make key, timely decisions
• Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization
Qualifications – Education
• BS or MS degrees in business, finance, economics, engineering, computer science or other analytically intensive discipline
