We are currently seeking a SQL Server DBA for our client in the Legal domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. Primary Skills: T-SQL
Role Description: The SQL Server DBA must have at least 6 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and secure database servers.
- Set and maintain database standards.
- Manage database access.
- Performance tuning of database systems.
- Ensure all database servers are backed up.
- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Preserving data integrity.
- Ethical handling of private data, including financial and/or healthcare data for certain companies.
- Position requires after-hours and weekend on-call support.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with server installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with database management best practices.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Strong SQL engineering and administration.
- Tuning T-SQL queries to improve performance.
- Write complex SQL queries, including use of common table expressions, temporary tables, and querying XML data.
- Understand basic RDBMS concepts and best practices, such as primary and foreign key constraints and database normalization.
- SQL backups and frequent transaction logs backups using Commvault.
- Experience managing systems in a VMware environment.
- Understand relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Familiarity with SSRS, SQL Profiler, SSMS, and import/export tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Optional Qualifications/Skills:
- Some .NET programming experience or education specific to C# language.
- Familiarity with XQuery, XPath, and XSLT stylesheets.
- Knowledge of basic web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NPM, and IIS.
- Experience with git source control tool and PowerShell.
- Development of API’s
- SharePoint administration and SharePoint SPFx web part development.
- Administration of Intapp Open, Flow, and Integrate.
- Experience with PHP programming language and MySQL.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 7+ years of SQL database administration supporting mission critical applications.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 6 years
