About the Team
At Fanatics, our Business Affairs & Legal team plays an integral role into why we are the #1 licensed sports, omni-channel retailer. This team is known for negotiating and drafting long-term, exclusive deals with professional sports teams, universities, event promoters, and athletes. They are trusted advisors in counseling our business teams with day-to-day matters as well as key strategic initiatives. This division is critical to the success of the overall company strategy and our mission to become the #1 Fan Brand in the world.
Paralegal Role
Fanatics is seeking a smart, organized and motivated paralegal in Tampa to support its in-house attorneys, particularly in the wholesale business.  This position is ideal for candidates with contracts drafting, compliance and B2B paralegal experience who have a willingness and strong desire to learn other areas of the law.
This role will report to and primarily support the AGC, Fanatics Brands, on Fanatics Brands related matters, though will also support other in-house attorneys on the Global Team.
General Duties & Responsibilities: • Support internal and external counsel on a variety of business contracts drafting and negotiation related matters including:
• Contracts administration, including process improvements through leverage of document management solution
• Draft, negotiate and review business contracts (with support and professional development from assigning attorneys)
• Prepare contract termination notices, cease & desist letters and other correspondence
• Conduct legal research, document review and other compliance diligence projects from time to time
• Design & develop policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively across business functions
• Support in-house attorneys on Global Legal Team projects as required
• Provide light administrative support to in-house attorneys
Education/Experience Requirements: • 5+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal department or large law firm
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
• Strong attention to detail & highly organized
• Proactive problem solver
• Self-starter and able to work without significant supervision or oversight
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to support in-house attorneys in multiple office locations
• Ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
