What you’ll be doing...
This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2021.
As a Network Implementation Construction Engineer, you enjoy managing complex, large-scale projects impacting a large variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. You have a keen eye for detail, but never lose sight of the big picture. Being results-driven and well-organized, you are adept at identifying potential project roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and project management skills enable you to negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success. You thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment, making effective decisions quickly, and juggling competing priorities with ease.
• Provide project management and supervision of construction activities for multiple network site additions and upgrade projects including: baseband swaps and ads, GPS adds, BAS Filter adds, generator upgrades; generator ads; power upgrades; carrier ads, and various other projects.
• Provide complete ownership of project financials, from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including project budget funding, adherence to budget spending, creation & tracking of purchase orders, and inspecting work performed by contractors.
• Provide clear direction and supervision to contractors, vendors, and/or other teams supporting upgrade projects.
• Manage the bidding processes via bid tools, awarding project, monitoring progress, providing regular status updates, and resolving issues.
• Provide guidance for site surveys and engineering to ensure cell site upgrade projects account for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical feasibility.
• Review site survey reports with a focus on measurements, power readings, HVAC assessments, photos, drawings, issues, and recommendations for upgrade projects.
• Determine project scope of work, and resources needed to finalize project in a timely manner.
• Interface with internal and external departments to include Real Estate, Regulatory, and municipal agencies in the pursuit of construction and in-service approvals, building permits, and construction inspections.
What we’re looking for...
• Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2021
• Associates degree or four or more years of work experience.
Even better if you have:
• Communications/Signal background with experience working in SYSCONs/JCCCs
• Experience and knowledge with the following documents: Operation Orders (OPORD), Circuit Layout Records, TTPs, Construction Drawings, Technical Orders/Manuals
• Good understanding of power, radio, multiplexing, and network routing fundamentals
• Experience with Project Mgt Trackers (MS Project/local trackers), and Google.
• Skills with sorting through large amounts of data and organizing it.
• Experience with process creation and implementation.
• Exceptional time management and communications skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
• Willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
• Willingness to adapt to different settings and investigate/implement alternate approaches to resolve problems with minimum management input.
