About The Role:
We are looking for a Data Reliability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure databases, data pipelines and data platforms are functioning, configured appropriately and operating efficiently for all ARC products, systems, and services. You will review reliability data and work with Database Administrators, Data Engineers, Platform Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers to identify data components that are candidates for optimization. Additionally, you will provide assistance and guidance in provisioning, configuring, and administrating databases and database technologies for all product teams and business areas.
What You'll Get to Do:
• Ensure databases, data pipelines and data platforms are functioning, configured appropriately and operating efficiently for all ARC products, systems, and services.
• Review reliability data and work with Database Administrators, Data Engineers, Platform Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers to identify components that are candidates for optimization.
• Provide assistance and guidance in provisioning, configuring, and administrating databases and database technologies for all product teams and business areas.
• Support product and operation teams to ensure best practices are used in the configuration, deployment, maintenance and administration of database technologies use throughout the organization.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
• 3+ years of database development or administration
• Functional knowledge of AWS
• Deep knowledge and experience with cloud databases such as RDS, Aurora, Redshift on AWS and Snowflake.
• Functional knowledge of monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudHealth, and the Atlassian Suite
• Deep knowledge and experience with database administration, provisioning, configuring, deploying, maintaining, and optimization.
