We are seeking a creative, goal oriented, driven change agent to lead the Production Art transformation in becoming the number one sports licensed company in the history of our industry.  Not only will you oversee a team of Production Artists responsible for developing designs incorporating the trademarks of licensed sports, media, and entertainment brands to be marketed and produced on apparel, headwear, and other products produced via mass production and on-demand processes but also focused on process improvements.
Key Responsibilities • What we are looking for...
LEADERSHIP
• Oversee the Production Art team and establish standards for production, productivity, quality, and client service.
• Effective in developing current and new leaders.  Able to partner with the team to identify skill gaps and utilize coaching skills to provide and/or develop effective training solutions.
• Driver in the execution of cross functional projects and coordinating transition of Print Separations function.
PROCESS
• Partner on cross functional projects and strategies to develop designs according to production schedules and ensuring products are represented properly online.
• Responsible for Production Art department deliverables, timelines, and budgets/profitability.
• Optimizing Automation, efficiencies, and additional opportunities for process improvement.  Lead implementation of new time and resource saving technologies.
• Solution and results focus:  Able to identify and solve problems in a collaborative and timely fashion; able to see the big picture and can quickly course-correct or troubleshoot issues
COMPLIANCE
• Ensure that the overall design and production process meets all licensing requirements and guidelines set forth by Licensors.  Utilize the appropriate intellectual property and style guides from Licensors and other sources
• Develop and implement global standard operating procedures and key performance indicators to build a high performing Production art team (on site and off site).
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements • Proven strength in the leadership of people and management of PROCESS ; ability to identify, acquire and grow talent; ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high performing teams.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience.  Experience successfully managing off site and external resources
• 8-10 years of product manufacturing experience—advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and strong attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Some experience with Graphic Design for Manufacturability
• Intermediate level use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Intermediate working within project management systems
• Experience managing financial profitability and budgets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal:  Comfortable delivering professional presentations
• Exceptional interpersonal skills:  Able to network and gain trust with co-workers; open to new ideas.  Ability to work cross-functionally across all teams and departments and maintain a professional and positive attitude with both internal and external clients
• Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Trained in Lean Six Sigma.  Black Belt a plus
• Proficient in Macintosh design applications
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Corel Draw and various file formats including vector and PNG
• Working knowledge of Screen Printing and Direct-To-Garment processes
• Experience managing overseas reports
