Your Contributions
At Asure, Product Owners are the voice of the customer to our Agile software development teams. You work within the product management organization to develop product strategies and roadmaps for our suite of Human Capital Management (HCM) software. An embedded member of our Agile scrum team, responsible for creating user stories for new software features. Using your experience as a product owner, you prioritize the team backlog to ensure we execute our roadmap. Responsible for discussing business issues with internal and external clients to understand “pain points” and how Asure products can reduce that pain. Building empathy for the customer and passion for solving their problems; forging customer relationships that drive retention, impact sales, and create innovation by advocating for the best client business solution.
Your Responsibilities
• Product Partnership - Working with product managers to understand development priorities. You are a champion of “what” and “why” to the scrum team. You collaborate our UX team to deliver elegant, innovative solutions that provide an appealing user experience that enables customers to use our product to manage their challenges. You partner with Asure learning and enablement teams for effective, high-quality end-user training and documentation. Work together with other scrum teams; with product domain, DevOps and SaaS Ops, to bridge our teams and break down silos.
• Product Development - You divide epics into user stories and acceptance criteria to provide the team with information on a Definition of Ready and a Definition of Done. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, user story refinement, sprint retrospectives, and quarterly planning. You groom the product backlog to ensure user stories are prepared upcoming sprints. Partnering with a scrum master, you enable engineers to deliver their user stories. Conduct acceptance testing of completed user stories within the sprint.
You are responsible for removing the barriers between the team and high-quality product delivery.
• Product Training - Demo products to internal and external users, in development and pre-release sessions to ensure our product exceeds customer expectations. You train users on new features and enhancements to support alpha- and beta-testing, as well as launch readiness. You coordinate with groups outside the product organization, including service and support, sales and marketing, and learning and development.
Your Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or similar work experience.
• 2-5 years experience in any role in an Agile scrum team.
• 1-2 years experience as an Agile product owner.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship, as we are unable to sponsor or transfer Visas at this time.
• Scrum Product Owner certification.
• Knowledge of Asure HCM products. Asure Evolution expertise
• In-depth knowledge of Payroll and or Human Capital Management systems
• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience with ZenDesk.
• Experience building and delivering cloud-based solutions.
