Full Job Description
A Fedex Ground Contractor, is seeking EXPERIENCED delivery drivers to fill 20 full time positions working 5-6 days a week delivering FEDEX Ground packages.
Candidate MUST have
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience delivery vans, step vans, box trucks, semi trucks, etc.
• Able to demonstrate a positive mindset, punctual, be reliable, team player, organized and SAFE driver.
• Pass a drug test andDOT Medical Exam
• Clean driving Record
• Reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
• Load vehicle with assigned route for the day at the Palmetto, FL terminal
• Safely and accurately deliver & pick-up packages in a timely manner
• Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
• Properly code packages in scanner
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages
Training will be provided
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 full year of verifiable business/commercial driving experience within the last 3 years (ex: package delivery,USPS delivery, Moving companies, landscaping etc.)
• applicants must be at least 21 years of age
• have a valid Drivers License
• have proof of authorization to work in the US
• have a CLEAN MVR (motor vehicle record will be checked)
• pass a criminal background check
• must have or be capable of obtaining a 1 or 2 year DOT Medical Card
• be drug free (pass immediate and random drug tests)
• be in good physical condition and able to handle large and/or heavy packages up to 180 lbs. This is a very physically demanding job & could involve climbing stairs
• must fluently speak, read and understand English
• capable of operating a scanning device
• have a working smart phone & willing to use it on the job for GPS & communication
• have reliable transportation to and from the terminal
