USF Information Technology (USF IT) provides technology services and support for the University of South Florida. The IT team, led by the Vice President and CIO, provides the following services: Administrative Services, Client Support, Communication Services, Teaching and Learning, Analytics and Reporting, Mobile and Web Services, Consulting Services, Cybersecurity Service and Research Technologies.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Junior Archivum Developer implements and configures application requirements by creating records, process models, business rules, forms, and news posts, as well as leveraging security. This position meets with the customer to understand their problems and business rules. This position will assist in organizing complex processes into simple tasks and implement using SAIL. This position will also deliver an intuitive, organized, and consumable end-user experience and oversee the deployment of the application in various environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, deploy and support enterprise-level Appian based BPM applications. Translate business process software requirement specifications into Appian process model prototypes and solutions. Work with scrum team to complete features toward current project. Understand user stories and drill down to find root requirements. Measure the complexity of issues. Collaborate with team to implement business processes. Develop and use library of reusable Appian components that can be leveraged in the enterprise. Conduct and participate in detailed design reviews and validate that the design follows the approved architecture.
• Maintain systems: Develop with paired programmer to spread application knowledge and improve quality. Ensure that all applications are up and functioning as desired. Correct erroneous data that may cause an application to fail or not operate as expected. Run reports for end users to help them understand users or facts about the application. Fix various application bugs that appear to cause users problem.
• Attend various office meetings which include but are not limited to: Project planning meetings and consultations. Staff meetings for office updates and information. Application developer team meetings to share team experiences, code review, standards review. Project retrospectives to help the project team become more effective at developing a project. Project reviews with the team and customers to ensure the project meets business needs and vision. Training and further education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training, or a Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and one year of IT related work experience, OR a combination of five years of IT related work experience and validated training. Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training.
