Hiring Salary/Salary Range : $18.00 Hourly
Duties:
The Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology at the University of South Florida seeks a temporary laboratory assistant to work in a food science laboratory. The applicants must be available to travel to collect field samples and be familiar with analytical laboratory procedures in food biochemistry, such as working with an HPLC, texture, and color analyzers. Besides, the applicants should be prepared to conduct data analyses and be familiar with laboratory safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in office or administrative support or in research support. College education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Biology or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.  Experience in laboratory support or in research support is preferred.
