Position Description:
The ideal candidate will manage the activities necessary to ensure achievement of the Oncology Informatics business unit’s technical and revenue objectives by using industry knowledge expertise, market research and direct feedback from clients and prospects. This position requires a blend of oncology domain knowledge and technical savvy, as well as the ability to leverage market research. We are looking for an experienced business leader who can drive the business unit toward strategic goals, coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure customers’ needs are met and support the sales and marketing teams’ revenue-generating efforts.
The ideal candidate will serve as a product evangelist, comfortable and able to speak in front of audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge. This role will support sales calls where needed and partner with the Vice President of Marketing to develop engaging blog posts, interactive digital content, and host webinars and fireside chats.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring the existing portfolio of Oncology Informatics solutions meets market requirements.
You must be equally comfortable digging into business needs as you are creating detailed product specifications with software engineering colleagues. You must be highly motivated, comfortable to collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions but also interact externally with prospects and customers. You must demonstrate experience with fast-paced entrepreneurial environments, which require the flexibility and creativity to achieve goals with relatively limited resources.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with customers, sales and marketing stakeholders, and software engineering to ensure complete and accurate understanding of the products being built
• Align our product development efforts with business strategy and metrics
• Gather market information and validate the accuracy and marketability of that information
• Act as the resident expert on all assigned products. Train sales executives on all Oncology Informatics solutions.
• Collaborate with Marketing to translate complex technical details into clear and market-ready business messaging
• Work with the software development team and implementation team to manage product changes and interventions to achieve the required outcomes
• Evaluate potential partner relationships for ongoing product development and enhancements
Requirements and Qualifications:
• B.A./B.S. in a technical, scientific or quantitative field. MBA optional but highly preferred.
• Healthcare or life sciences consulting or healthcare informatics or data technology experience.
• Domain in experience in oncology, outcomes research, clinical research, clinical trials.
• 5+ years in business unit leadership positions, preferably in the enterprise SaaS space.
