POSITION SUMMARY: USF Health in partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center are seeking applications from exceptional candidates to lead our Cardio-Oncology Center. The Center, founded in 2014 is located primarily at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, the first NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in Florida. Moffitt was ranked 8 in cancer in the US News and World Reports Hospital Rankings in 2019. Over 1300 patients were seen in the outpatient cardio-oncology clinic in 2018. In addition, there is a robust inpatient consultative service. The program is actively involved in clinical and basic/translational cardio-oncology research with various active trials and multiple publications since its inception. In addition, this is one of the only programs in the United States with a dedicated cardio-oncology fellowship training program. The program is supported by an administrator, advanced practice providers and a dedicated cardio-oncology nurse coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES: TEACHING: Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows about the clinical management of cardio-oncology with the majority of effort involving supervising general cardiology and cardio-oncology fellow in the inpatient and outpatient settings. RESEARCH: Scholarly works in the individuals area of interest. ADMINISTRATIVE: Program Director of Cardio-Oncology CLINICAL: Provide Cardio-Oncology clinical services in the inpatient and out settings. OTHER: Professional Development and other duties as assigned, including participating in university/college committees when requested. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: The ideal candidate should be eligible for a full, unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida and be BC/BE in cardiology, have broad experience and be an established or upcoming national leader in cardio-oncology and qualify for a non-tenure appointment as Associate, or Full Professor at the USF Morsani School of Medicine. This is a full time academic salaried position which includes ambulatory and inpatient clinical duties, teaching and research. Expertise in cardiac imaging or heart failure is preferred but not required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and academic rank.
